On the trail
Cross-country skiing in Tux: the start of the cross-country ski trail takes place directly behind our hotel and the Use is free!
Cross-country skiing is becoming increasingly popular! As one of the healthiest sports of all, it is an ideal workout for the entire muscles. Endurance, strength and coordination come together in this incredibly beautiful winter sport. Did you know? Cross-country skiing burns an average of between 600 and 700 kcal per hour - compared to just around 450 kcal when mountain biking. Cross-country skiing is therefore the ideal sport to maintain your ideal weight or even to lose weight.
Cross-country skiing lessons are given at the local ski schools and cross-country skiing equipment is available to rent or buy at all ski rentals and sports shops. You get 10% off rental equipment at our partner stores!
The Luggi Gredler trail (named after one of our most successful winter athletes, the biathlete Ludwig Gredler) is being repaired by the Tux.Finkenberg tourist association and is available for you to use free of charge. Due to its altitude of 1.300 m to 1.450 m, it is often still passable when it is already thawing in the Zillertal.
